Laboratory for characterisation of photodetectors is founded with the aim to measure all relevant parameters of various photodetectors, with emphasis on new generation of single photon detectors. It is equiped with computer controlled temperature chamber, 6485 Keithley picoampermeter, Keithley 6487 voltage source/picometer, 2000 Keithley multimeter, CAEN N478 programmable source, CAEN silicon multiplier package. Recently, the lab has been upgraded with two CCD camers with partially overlapped fields of view (for CTA/LST consortium).
Higgs boson discovery at CERN has started a new era in particle physics. New important step for the entire field is precision measurements of the Higgs boson properties, which is important for both the physics of the standard model and beyond. Our group plans activities on theoretical and experimental aspects of the leptoquark searches at LHC. We also plan to continue with involvements in the vector boson scattering analysis, which is an important process for the LHC physics.
We will also continue to work on the hardware part of the LHC project, through design, simulation, production and testing of the trigger primitive generation for the HGCAL project (High Granularity Calorimeter) of the CMS detector. This part of the work is in collaboration with colleagues from electronics and computing department (the group led prof. Julije Ožegović).
Besides CMS activities, we also plan continuation of our involvement in astroparticle physics through MAGIC and CTA collaborations. In MAGIC we plan to work on data analysis and development and maintenance of the daily data check quality and trigger efficiency. Inside the CTA collaboration our group is co-responsible for the star tracking and pointing system.
In the theoretical part of our activities, we will focus on the physics of leptoquarks, neutrino mass generation and the phenomenology of anomalous magnetic moments of leptons.
