Study programmes at the Faculty are based primarily on the needs of the economy which is included in the study programmes in several ways: students complete one part of course requirements (final and diploma thesis and professional practice) in companies, and experts from the private sector participate in teaching activities of the Faculty.

Collaboration with student associations

On FESB, traditionally, great care has been taken on work of student associations or project groups.

Students are also involved in various sports activities such as rowing, football, water polo, etc.  Very important are the activities of student associations, especially in the activities of UPS and DUMP (Young Programmers Student Association), where they gain valuable practical experience and where project-oriented teaching is carried out. The Faculty promotes this type of teaching financially, organisationally and with its spatial capacities.
