There are three research laboratories:
Important equipment: electrical machines of various types and powers from 100 W to 350 kW, modern power converters up to 350 kW, programmable logic controllers (PLC), measuring equipment (instruments, oscilloscopes, thermal imaging camera, shock voltage generator, sensors of electrical and non-electrical quantities , torque and speed measuring devices), microprocessor systems, components for semiconductor converters (IGBT transistors, inductors, capacitors, electronic boards for various purposes, buses)
The aim of the research is to develop electricity storage systems that would increase the stability of isolated and weak power systems and enable a higher share of unpredictable renewable energy sources (RES) in electricity generation and that would have a positive impact on increasing electricity quality. During the 5-year research, three prototypes of the system would be developed:
